Call for Grant Proposals from Alaska Schools
Grants are available to support professional development in the use of the Alaska Seas and Watersheds curriculum and thematic instruction to meet education standards, and the development of a Sea Week, River Week, Watershed Week or other compatible event that fits your community best. The types of expenses that the grant funds can be used for include salary and benefits for educators (off-contract or for a field trip coordinator), supplies, equipment, and transportation for field trips.
Teacher teams (representing at least three K-8 grade levels) in a single school or community may submit proposals with the approval of your principal. Download the application form here. We anticipate awarding three grants for the 2016-2017 school year.
